Nemo Boko

Nemo Boko is an artist deeply inspired by the mythic traditions of the world. He draws inspiration from ethnographic journals, museum catalogs, nature and ancient ruins with the feeling that there is a connection between ancient tribal art and the basic mythic building blocks of human creativity. By exploring the myths and archetypes found around the world, one can begin to piece together the subconscious dream landscape of human visual symbolism, and watch its transformation through time; Nemo hopes to elaborate upon on ancient and modern symbols to make timeless and powerful works of art.

Nemo grew up in Miami and developed a love for multiethnic civilizations. He went to college to learn to become an international negotiator by triple majoring in Politics, Religion and East Asian Studies. After leaving Washington, DC jaded but with priceless experiences, he moved to Boulder, CO to relax and find a new direction. A visionary experience set him on the path of art, where he began to reintegrate his political aim of diplomacy with his aesthetic love of tribal and magickal images.
